Come Back to Yourself

A restorative Lake Michigan retreat and two-month integration experience for deeply capable women ready to trust themselves, reconnect with what makes them feel alive, and create lives that feel nourishing rather than depleting.

Spots are limited. Email Shawn at support@drshawnhondorp.com to learn more about room availability.

What if your next chapter isn't about doing more…
…but becoming more yourself?

Beneath the demands and expectations of daily life are parts of you that know how to play, imagine, and lead. They are waiting for space.

Is this you?

Deeply capable… and deeply tired

Maybe you're deeply capable… and deeply tired.

You're often the one other people rely on. You've spent years being responsible, supporting others, and doing what needs to be done.

Your life may even look good from the outside.

But somewhere underneath it all, you can feel parts of yourself getting quieter.

Your creativity. Your playfulness. Your desires. Your ability to hear your own voice beneath everyone else's needs and expectations.

You don't necessarily want to blow up your life or make a dramatic change. You just want space to put some of the weight down, reconnect with yourself, and remember what it feels like to be fully alive inside your own life.

That's what we're creating at the Lake Michigan Retreat this October.

This experience may be for you if:

You're at a crossroads in your work or identity and need space away from everyday demands to hear yourself again.

You're craving rest, play, beauty, and meaningful connection—but struggle to give yourself permission to prioritize them.

You're tired of gathering more information and want an experience that helps insight move from your head into your body and your life.

You want to be with thoughtful, emotionally honest women without needing to perform, impress, or have everything figured out.

You have creative, playful, courageous, or unconventional parts of yourself that have gotten buried beneath responsibility.

You don't need another strategy as much as you need enough space and support to recognize what you already know.

The Invitation

A retreat that doesn't end when you go home

We are taking what we built in October 2024 — a beautiful, intimate experience that already has people returning — and expanding it.

This time, you'll get three restorative nights along the shores of Lake Michigan, filled with play, laughter, creativity, and reconnection with your own aliveness. And then you'll get a two-month container to help you honor what came alive at the retreat and bring it into your relationships, choices, work, boundaries, and everyday rhythms.

These optional calls won't give you more information to absorb or another list of things to accomplish. They'll offer protected space to keep listening to yourself, stay connected to what came alive at the retreat, and practice making small, courageous choices rooted in self-trust.

Imagine this

A feeling that is irreplaceable

You wake up, look out your window, and see a grassy bluff and sparkly Lake Michigan shining back at you. You can smell the coffee already made downstairs.

You can sit and talk with a new friend who understands what it's like to carry so much—or take your notebook to the gazebo, look out at the lake, and listen for the thoughts that are hard to hear in everyday life.

You have fun "workshops" this afternoon, but this retreat really isn't about learning per se. It's about feeling, embodying, being, and waking up to desires in yourself that might have been buried since childhood. It's about experiencing your authentic self, perhaps for the first time in a very long time.

You feel cared for and nurtured like you haven't in a long time, and you're ready to connect with your childlike awe and wonder again. You may not know exactly what will change when you go home, but you can feel yourself returning. Your desires feel clearer. Your body feels more like a trusted guide. You remember that you are allowed to build a life that nourishes you, too.

"Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."

Turn strangers into great friends

Something happens when women slow down together in a beautiful place — you arrive as strangers and leave with people who feel like home.

A few surprise special guests

A few surprise special guests will also be joining to bring even more depth, creativity, and connection to the experience.

If the retreat wakes up a desire to live differently…

Maybe you want to protect more space for rest or creativity. Set a boundary you've been avoiding. Trust yourself in a relationship. Change the way you work. Begin a meaningful project. Dance more. Write more. Play with your children. Or simply stop abandoning yourself in the smallest moments of everyday life.

You do not need to arrive with a goal, business idea, or dramatic life decision. October and November will offer support as you listen for what matters, experiment with small shifts, and build a life that feels increasingly nourishing and fully your own.
